Key Factors Affecting the Network

The performance parameters of RF passive components mainly include operating frequency band, insertion loss, input and output standing waves, port isolation, in-band fluctuation, out-of-band suppression, intermodulation products and power capacity. According to the current network conditions and testing conditions, passive components are the key factor affecting the current network.

The key factors mainly include:

●Port isolation

Poor isolation will cause interference between various systems, and conducted spurious and multi-carrier intermodulation products will interfere with the uplink signal of the terminal.

●Input and output standing waves

When the standing wave of passive components is relatively large, the reflected signal will become larger, and in extreme cases, the standing wave of the base station will alarm, and the radio frequency components and power amplifier will be damaged.

●Out-of-band suppression

Poor out-of-band rejection will increase inter-system interference. Good out-of-band rejection can help reduce inter-system crosstalk as well as good port isolation.

●Intermodulation products

Larger intermodulation products will fall into the upstream frequency band, degrading receiver performance.

●Power capacity

Under the condition of multi-carrier, high-power output, and high peak-to-average ratio signal, insufficient power capacity will easily lead to an increase in the noise floor, and the network quality will be seriously deteriorated, such as inability to make calls or dropped calls, which will cause arcing and sparking. The breakdown and burn cause the network to be paralyzed and cause irreversible losses.

●Device processing technology and material

The failure of material and processing technology directly leads to the decline of the performance of various parameters of the device, and the durability and environmental adaptability of the device are greatly reduced.
