The highly anticipated FISU World University Games is set to captivate the sports world as athletes from across the globe gather in Chengdu, P.R. China, from July 28 to August 8, 2023. Organized by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and the Organising Committee, under the auspices of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), this prestigious event promotes inclusivity and fair play. Held every two years, the FISU World University Games provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, foster international friendships, and promote the spirit of sportsmanship.

Uniting Athletes in the FISU Spirit:

The FISU World University Games embodies the FISU spirit, which stands against any form of discrimination based on race, religion, or political affiliations. It brings together athletes from various backgrounds, encouraging camaraderie and mutual respect. This event serves as a reminder that sports have the power to bridge gaps and foster understanding among nations.

Sports and Participants:

Athletes who meet the age criteria of being 27 years old on December 31 of the event year (born between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 2005) are eligible to participate in the FISU World University Games. The competition showcases a wide array of sports, including archery, artistic gymnastics, athletics, badminton, basketball, diving, fencing, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, and water polo.
